Local Red Cross How To Volunteer:

Volunteers of the American Red Cross are people from all walks of life who are motivated by a common desire to share their life experiences, education and community spirit in support of those in need.  Our volunteers help make it possible for the Red Cross to run smoothly and provide a level of service that could not be achieved without their help.

By generously giving of themselves, each volunteer – in his or her own way – contributes significantly to the well-being of friends and neighbors.  In return, volunteers at the Red Cross have an opportunity to learn new skills, meet interesting people, make new friends and play a role in the day-to-day operations of an institution that is a recognized leader in humanitarian services.

Let us help match your talents and interest with community needs.

Print a copy of our volunteer application and send it in to the chapter office. Someone from the staff will promptly contact you. For additional information on volunteer opportunities, contact us at (256) 764-2911,  or email emoore@redcross-nwal.org

Background Check requirements: Beginning July 2006 all American Red Cross volunteers must complete a background check prior to registered volunteer service. When you submit your Volunteer application you will receive additional information regarding your background check.
